The Far Cry Classic mod is a modification is inspired by Far Cry Classic for PS3 and Xbox 360. A Far Cry Classic mod for PC allows you to choose between 2004 campaign levels and console version 2014 campaign levels to play through. Then there is also a COOP mode, which is unfortunately unfinished and the mod called Contest Island: Invasion mod, which has been built into the Far Cry Classic.
Contest Island: Invasion mod has some great things like picking objects, running animations, hands always as a weapon so when you are going to pick up the four weapons you can't use hands (you cannot fight with enemy up close with your hands but with a weapon) and when you drop the four weapon you can use it.

This is mostly gameplay showcase which shows some great features which this mod has and its not mean to represent how to play the game but what the mod can offer.
It's definitely a great mod, but you have to install it in your game folder and not in the mod folder, so don't forget to make a BACKUP first and then install this mod.
wow, first i was asking myself why the hell you made a indoor footage, because fcclassic have so nice watershader, and then i see it at the very end of the video.
now the question: is this caused on your w7 OS and possible missing shaders or is it broken by default?

Originally I want to make an outdoor footage, but I don't want to show that ugly water and I have a terrain problem when zooming so I don't want to show that too. Also, original Far cry 1 water is way better than the one in the Classic and mods like Delta Sector (or Far Cry 2010) has 1000 times better water than the one in the Classic or even the original.

so mixer released this broken shader environment AND overwrite farcry original data with that? i'ts hard to believe. but okay, simply make a copy of farcry folder and using this mod on the copied version should not a big problem.
No, I mean that it's supposed to be like that and I want to say that water in Classic isn't so good like in Vanilla Far Cry 1.
it looks overall very bad, distance fog is missing and waterdeepness fog is missing.
what about the new campaign from console 2014, is it good?
Well, some things look great. For example metal inside the ship looks much better than the original game. Wood and boxes look much better than the original and also the vegetation (only at close because at the distance is probably much worse than originally). The only problem which this mod is that distance objects looks terrible, and also some physical limitations. Do you remember the cage with the pigs in the Training level? You can't destroy that wood.
Overall, it's much better than Far Cry Classic on consoles because there is also Content Island mod and Coop mod which is unfortunately unfinished, but there is much more content than in the console release.
The campaign is basically the same, but the cut scenes are in “HD” and some things from the vanilla game for the example hut in the Fort level (with 100 rounds and radio) is no longer in the campaign because of console limitations but you can play the original campaign too so it's not such a problem.

i played 8 years ago on farcry a working coop mod, sven coop, where you could play the campaign in coop mode over LAN (not tried with internet).

I think it's worth it because of those textures and also I like those running animations. Unfortunately, those things are not in the PC version. Loading animations are different, but that's not a problem, but I would like to have those mission complete animations.
i didnt see any chance to get something similar and ripping that out feels.. hmm... false..
I think he makes it for us Far Cry 1 players who want to play the console release.

Are u still working on this mod? Because I wonder if u add the rest of FCClassic features - like the rest of the remade weapons from Classic, radar alert working as in the console version and when u spot enemies by binocs - u see them all marked even without binocs. I hope u understand what am I trying to say. :)

I'm not the original creator, but the Mix3r is, and I understand what you are saying. Thou, I haven't played the console version of the Far Cry Classic, but I guess it's similar to the tagging feature in the Far Cry 3.
