Hey! Are you seeing the actual FPS in an external program? Is it actually 60FPS? Have you tried changing the FPS lock settings?

Download 7Zip 7-zip.org or WinRAR: Rarlab.com
There was a screw up with the build system which was using winrar to make the zip files. It said if you name a file 'zip' it would use the zip algorithm but it did not. It's a RAR file named like a ZIP file. This went unnoticed for a long time because 99% of people tend to have an unpacker that supports rar files too. Including ourselves, obviously.
This has been fixed in next version, sorry for the inconvenience!
Someone let me know it's working ok so I can relax and stop fretting :D
Right! It's updated. Sorry about that. In my defence it's like 5am at this point :P
Sorry everyone for the screw up! Enjoy! <3
Sorry peeps. Glitch in the matrix, will be sorted very promptly (like within minutes) xxx
I should add here that the next build is out on the forums!
:)
Desura very soon peoples! <3
Joypad support is experimental, and may require some tinkering. It will be improved in later builds.
split-screen requires joypad support, since multple keyboard/mice are not possible. Try unplugging / replugging joypad into different USBs so it reinstalls the plug/play drivers to that USB port, and relaunching game perhaps? Others have had some success with that. re: Y-Axis heading. Whoops, that's not even meant to be there. Will remove it in next version.
Should you get joypads functioning, to activate you just press the A button in-game (as in when actually playing), and choose whether it's a new player or whether to take control of player 1. To configure it, you'll need to edit a config file. Instructions for this are on our forum where you may get additional help getting your joypads running. As I say, we'll improve in later versions and provide interacive options menu settings for binding joypad commands, but hopefully they should work out the box once the joypads are actually recognised on game load.
well to be honest, it's entirely possible it'll work fine but it's on the bottom end so I wouldn't feel comfortable giving you the thumbs up on that. Since there is no up to date demo with equivalent spec requirements at the moment, if you wanted to 'try before you buy' we would understand.
try uninstall / reinstall. this may be down to old version of desura client. But either way this should solve it.
we had problems. it's very much of historical note: Kotaku.com and won't happen again.
Er well actually we've talked quite a lot about this, in the sense that the immediately imminent release won't have it: Indiedb.com
amazing well done :-)
We understand people's frustrations and the wait has been ridiculously long, and we're looking into ways we could speed up a release for you lovely peeps. Though I'd like to point out for fairness DayZ standalone's 'release schedule' had it coming out before the new year. Even the great almighty Rocket has delays! :P
Just a phenomenal coincidence that, of course, Renay. :P
Unfortunately that's not possible.
If anyone's seen Scrapheap Challenge or a 3 day time-limit DIY show or something. That's alpha funded dev. You have a pile of garbage for weeks, then it all comes together within the last few minutes. We can't just arbitrarily 'release something'.
We're doing some important sorting out of the code to provide more stable builds in future, and the primary reason we're doing this is *for* the Desura community. So you can finally have an official stable build on Desura, auto updating, instead of the long long wait you've had while we've released test build after test build on the forums.
The reason you've had to wait so long on Desura is *because* we buckled to the pressure of our community to 'Release something damn it!' and this just led over version after version into a degradation of the stability of the game to the point the majority of the people on our forum are playing a version 4 updates previous to the latest since it's the most stable.
We're just trying to make the wait as painless as possible by providing frequent updates, talk about our progress and provide activity on our blog and Desura page. Sorry if this doesn't agree with you but most seem to prefer it to dead silence.
The problem is a) the tutorial is missing so new players will be left bewildered and b) it fails to run without some heavy tinkering on like over 50% of systems. There would be an uproar if the autoupdater obliterated the working 0.1.5d build with one that failed to run on people's machines. :( we're as eager to get it on desura as you, believe me.
As we explained in the post, that feature was implemented way after the game engine was already written and doing it this way requires a lot more work than simply calling 'update' multiple times. ;) And at the time little enough was going on that this was the best way.
Did you buy it on desura? If so you don't need a username or password. just your desura key which you can get by right clicking PZ in your game list.
Hold Ctrl or Z to go into aim mode. The just clicking version was buggy and was causing a ton of problems and was only accidently left in after the aim system was added.
That's because they're all bald. ;) There will be other non-bald zombies in there eventually.
Funnily enough I am a lefty too, so when Binky gave me the left / right hands for the old UI, I perhaps subconsciously, put the left one as the top primary one and the right as the secondary. :D
So I think it was mainly rightys who were getting confused, ha!
Er I don't think you need to worry about that. I think more likely to destroy the game would us being left to do awkward stilted and amateurish dialogue and stuff instead of a talented writer. ;)
Yep very much so. :) Though the first release (demo at end of this month) will be much more cut down and it will develop from there.
Hehe.
This ain't no spelling test, this is the end of the world :p
there will of course be other ways, personality dependent, but these ones are the most risky ways so of course to get across the gritty harsh realism of it hitting the bottle seems more apt than doing a suduko. :D
£5 (pound sterling) or $8 (US dollars) we should add euros in there too really but then it gets a bit cumbersome.
We'll see about Desura.com but we'd have to make sure it fit with our system of payment and updates.
1. Yep. :)
2. Reasonably low. It runs fine on my notebook anyway. It's OpenGL so will probably have similar requirements to Minecraft. Due to the complicated iso engine though the rendering is a bit slower than you'd expect from a 2D game, we'll optimize it as much as possible.
