awesome.love the water and as always the color combo.but it kinda feels empty, more details in the background would make fuller, like the lamb-like semi-yellow things in the background.
I know what you mean, I actually tried that, but it was hard to add details to the background, because I was working with one layer. I also had more details in the beginning, but they got lost throughout the process of adding atmosphere.
i think the works of tsutomu nihei can be helpful on this matter.take a look at this one : Moddb.com
u use different methods but i thought this might help for some reason.

I don't like his works and I don't see how they can help me. Thanks for the input, but I know a lot of brilliant artists and I have hundreds and hundreds of their works on my computer, I'm not lacking material to look where and how I can improve :)
I don't see any practical reason for an effort to add additional background material given the heavy atmospheric conditions. The results would just be shadowy blurring. Fine piece Q.
I started with an experimental piece and after about 30 seconds, I saw a sea landscape with a rock in the middle in the painting and started developing the idea. Those flying vehicles are actually the first ones that look like space ships, I think.
WOW! Amazing!
I agree, this one is wonderful. I love the ones you do involving oceans, in particular.
