Your school ended in *July*?? My high school let out in May. Always. Admittedly it was at the end of May rather than the beginning, but my university semesters ended at about the beginning of May and May Day was a nice auspicious date for the magical setting.

For that matter, my school really did have a May Queen that we had to pay court to when I was young, although it wasn't at a dance, more of a school festival. Just goes to show you that one person's normal really isn't anothers! :)

I'm a full-time indie, almost anything I make is pay in some way. :)

The game code was mostly finished quite a while ago, but we've been held up waiting for the art, and considering which bits of art are missing I haven't been able to make a proper webpage for the game yet. You can - When you get to the order form, there's an option for "Payment Method". It's a dropdown box that starts with credit card selected, but if you set it to say PayPal it will create a PayPal link button underneath.

Each game will be set in a particular Hall, and the Halls are segregated by gender. The first game is set in a girls' Hall; there will be one with a male main character later (assuming this gets enough sales to continue obvs)

It's a boarding school, so your Hall/gender affects which roommates you have, and who you meet through them, and how you get drawn into the web of plots related to them... a different Hall is a completely different story! (And this first story is already over 100,000 words as it is.)

Yes, opposite-sex, same-sex, and possibly even relationships that don't count as either one of those. :)

Being of a different gender means you'd be placed in a different Hall, with different roommates and an entirely different plot. If the series is successful there _will_ be future entries and just as many male as female, but the first story is set in Horse Hall, which is a girls' Hall.

There's a huge amount of text going into it as it is (we're over 50,000 words and not halfway through the school year yet!) so there's really no way I can do more than one Hall at a time. Wolf Hall (male) would probably be the next one in line.

As for hentai add-on content... I wouldn't mind but the artist might. We'll have to see (and have to finish the main game first!)

Current plans are that the game ends with the combination of the final exam and the end-of-year prom, and then you get a page from the school yearbook summing up your character, with probably some hints about your future career and that of your romantic partner / best friend, if you have one. I do not intend to write out all four years of high school for any one PC; instead I'll be looping back around to do the next set of characters.

There is a vague possibility that there will be a spinoff game which is JUST dungeon-crawling, and which you can import your characters into. I mean, if we've done all this engine work for the tests and it works well enough, why not build big random dungeons with it? So then in a way the base game could serve as training for more hardcore RPGing. But this is just a fun possibility we might like to do sometime, it's not currently planned for sure.
