Okay, look. I had very high hopes for this game and I bought it in 2012, hoping for a good game. The problem is, this is never getting finished, that much is clear. I know you guys are hobby developers and I know real life often happens, but this is completely unacceptable. You cannot realistically expect us to go years without any significant progress being made on the project. This game has barely changed since 2012!

When you release a game on Alpha Funding and you take customers' money, you have a responsibility to make an effort to complete the game. Every time in the past when we complained because it looked like the game was making absolutely no progress you would come up with excuses and justifications, making promises that things would change. It's now two years since I bought this and nothing has changed. The project is very clearly dead in the water. Why don't you just come clean and admit you're never going to finish this, because that much is clear as day. You took our money and all we've got to show for it is a half-assed alpha that barely works.

Thank you for destroying my trust when it comes to Alpha Funding games.

I agree. With games like The Dead Linger, DayZ, etc, I'd like to know what this game offers to justify it costing $30.

Other than that, it seems interesting. I'll hold off a few months and see how things develop, though. Too many of the games here on Desura's alpha funding seems to have turned to vapourware.

How is the multiplayer scene for this? Is it easy to find people to play with?

I've had this game since March last year and in all that time there has still not been any significant changes to the game. Only small things here and there.

That's rich. I'll just quote Forbes on the matter.

It's said in a slightly different context, but it fits this context as well.

It's like a 3D version of Dwarf Fortress or Dungeon Keeper, just severely dumbed down.

Does anyone think we can request a refund? I think it's pretty clear what's happening here. This game has more or less been abandoned. If it ever gets finished, it will be over a period of 20 years.

No offence, linkhero, but normally I would agree with what you're saying, just not in this case. This game has been in alpha funding for more than a year and it is still not even in a playable, stable condition. These guys really should have had more to show for their time by now.

Yes, their game has been in pre-alpha since middle 2011. At this rate, we'll reach v1.0 in ten years. :)

There's a major difference between taking your time to ensure quality, and taking forever. At this rate, we'll have v1.0 in ten years.

I know the next update is apparently really big and adds a lot to the the game, but I mean, come on. We're going on two years and the game is still *technically* pre-alpha.

More than a year since the last full update now. Also, almost a year since their laptops got stolen. How long is this update still going to take?

I'm just so tired of waiting by now. Playing the test builds isn't fun because they've got major issues all over the place. :(

This game is absolutely screaming for an Android port. Any plans on bringing it to the mobile arena when it's finished? I will even buy it a second time just to have it on my Android tablet.

Oh, also, thanks for introducing me to the wonderful world of X-com. I never played the original game, but I played this remake and it is absolutely one of the best games I've ever played. Really glad I played this before X-com: Enemy Unknown or else I would never have known just how much better the original X-com is. Don't think I'm even going to bother buying the new X-com, I'll just play Xenonauts.

Where does one get the free version that everyone is mentioning? I want to test whether it runs on my netbook before I buy, but I can't find it anywhere.

It can run Minecraft on lowest settings. :P

Desura might still be busy approving the update. Sometimes it takes a while. :(

That's how I got mine on Desura. I originally bought it from Gamersgate, but then bought it again on the Indie bundle to get a Desura key.

Hey, I'm not the one representing my modding group by being rude to my fans on the official mod page. I'm well within my rights to take the 'moral high ground', otherwise known as common courtesy amongst us lesser mortals.

NMRIH, I'd suggest you get someone else to represent you on this page, because the way its going now, SotaPoika is creating a bad impression of your entire group.
