:::::::::::::::::: Instructions :::::::::::::::::::::::

[ Controls ]

( Keyboard )

WASD - character movement
CTRL - Basic Slash (Sorry no combos yet!)
Space - Jump
ESC - Quick reset / exit menu

( GamePad )

Analog Directional - character movement
A - Jump
X - Basic Slash (Sorry no combos yet!)

ESC - Quick reset / exit menu

[ Basic Gameplay ]

For now is just slash all goblins around - we still don't have combo moves, also the main character is not the one you'll be using so this one is a place holder for now. We don't have combo moves in place at this version neither, hopefully they'll be set (even if basic) for the next release / iteration. Then you can enter some of the structures, scroll down to the [ structures ] section to learn more about it!

Camera is side view (as in traditional Beat 'em Ups - you don't get to control it)

Action is always trough the right direction (again as in traditional Beat 'em Ups - however areas are not restricted yet, so you can go wherever you want at will, this will be fixed on next release and we will update this section then)
[ Structures ]

You can enter en the 3rd Structure (the one with the huge Barrel on top) and there you can rescue a villager if you can deduct what to do regarding the environment

You can enter the Inn too (the one with the tinted colored windows) - there's still no action / event in there but you can see it (there's meat in there over the counter)

You almost got to the Water Well (You just needed to jump over it ! :) So you can see the underground and then exit trough the right most where the 'roots are' ..
Otherwise you are so right is a pretty short 'early concept prototype' so you can have a grasp on the wanted game 'feel'

The reason for the side view camera is because since its a beat 'em up we will make the areas so that you can't go past a certain distance until accomplishing the things needs to be done or enemies needed to be cleared. Expect that for the next release (hopefully for next week).

Hi all and thanks a lot for your interest / support so far!

We have delivered the 'prototype' for the game as previously stated and are also publishing to major indie distribution places around as we see might fit in order to broaden our audience.

I'll start the process of adding Gameplay to the build in order to make it transform itself into an actual working demo. So you can have a full level to play trough and really beat up to the very end of it.

I'll keep you all posted as I start adding features and will post screenshots of added things. Then at the end of the week I'll proceed to upload the changes on the form of an actual build update so you can all test it and flood us back with as much feedback as you all can, so I can correct polish, keep adding a post back.

Hopefully by the end of our Crowd Funding campaign, which is currently Up and running at IndieGoGo you can finally decide if give us your blessing in the form of an actual contribution to our campaign. We strive to give you the best and we'll prove it in the form of regular updates not only trough the campaign, but afterwards too. It certainly was difficult to take off, it were 9 months of really hard work and we are almost broke on the process but it feels right, that's how true indie development spirit flows around. We are happy and we do know you'll be happy too as we see how the project evolves into something you can really enjoy while at it too!

Here is the link in case you already believe on this project as much as we already do! : Indiegogo.com

Cheers and Happy Game Development to all! Let's make this happen!

We took some time to make a revision at visual quality and we noticed we were missing some settings since we have been more focused on gameplay development recently. So we decided to put forward a tad more on visuals and here are the results, hope you like the improvements! -> Indiedb.com

Thanks and I did the same with your game too. Is looking nice, I'm a fan of PvsZ series myself and I really like the game projects a little bit of its vibe somewhat. Seems like fun to play! Hope you can make it into fully playable game soon. Best!

CodeAssembler - - 23 comments @ Unity Simple Export Addon for Blender

I personally do use Blender too and I love it. I just wish to have more time to spend on learning more of it. It wasn't until very recently that I've learned a tad of how to use Cycles for example and it was only because we needed a test render of a custom material for our logo and I was forced to dig into it! lol

Anyhow, this could end up being a nice plugin since Unity is also my weapon of choice too! So I hope your plugin still works with modern Blender versions even its dated from 2014 ? Will put this on my list of cool things to try indeed.

Thanks for sharing it!

Hats off, this is such an awesome piece of art on itself. Very different from everything I've seen so far. You also took your time to research in order to project things exactly the way you wish for (Skydome among maybe other things?).

If I were to recommend anything, I would say, maybe one or two situations with the feel of danger, even if very scarce. I don't know.. hum.. an hypothetical situation for example while trying to stick with the main theme could be, say maybe you are trying to portrait this savage creature but you need to make sure you keep certain distance from it, otherwise it can engage in your pursuit or some things the like. lol Just trying to figure myself as an artist in such a vast and free place. I'd imagine it could have its dangers/traps too...

Really hope you make this project into fully working game. Looks really promising and refreshing indeed.

Thank you Yeticulture! and if anything about any suggestions please let us know as we are always trying to improve based on your feedback! I now there's still not much to give feedback in terms that there's no demo yet, but we are working hard on it to deliver as soon as possible.

We've detected that our battle system will need improving more before we release a demo (even if its and Alpha quality) - for this reasons we are still working at the enemies AI system, while our art department keeps pushing forward to bring up an appropriate game logo.

We'll keep you posted of the progress, but this should take us a couple of days to get nailed.

So it's done! The animations and timing are fairly good now, and as such I've decided to post a teaser of the gameplay so far!

Indiedb.com

But please do keep in mind is pretty Alpha stuff ! Music is original from us just in case and is the type of music we will actually be using on the game, so hope you like it too!

Please do care to offer feedback if you like what you see / hear, we would love to hear your feedback as community to help us shape the game! Thanks in advanced if you do!

Next thing to polish now : Adequate attack VFxs - More attack variations - polish attacks timings

Thanks for visiting my profile page here at IndieDB, I hope my game development efforts are welcome by you all and that you can enjoy the content I work hard at creating for you all.

If looking a tad of information about myself and what do I do, basically I'm an indie game developer, part of an indie studio that is called First Light Studios and we are currently producing a couple of titles. One of them we are already sharing in here: Indiedb.com

We really do appreciate your support and if you decide to follow on our projects here or there! Thanks in advanced for your time and consideration!

Happy Game Development!

Hi all!

Currently working on the first Enemy type AI (the Assassin Goblin) - we got the patrol behaviour going on already. Right now I'm working on making the enemy attack with the correct animation types and timing.
