What is this box? Why is it so small? Why is everything coming closer! Go away!
And I'm pretty sure those are Skyrim assets, judging from the other 2 pictures as well.
When the lights are shutting off/on, they should be either faster or slower.
Lights flicker on and off really fast, and if it's one of the bulbs that fade away, it should be slower.
The way it is right now, it just feels "off", but that's my opinion.
It's strange that I never noticed the horns on the head before.
Just for future stuff (Since your already done with this guy), the horns should contrast more to the body. Looking back on the 3D model, it looks more like wood is growing out of his head partially because the color matches to closely with the body.
I like the concept art pose a lot more than it's 3D counterpart. He looks more active and eager to kill, especially with that tongue sticking out.
I like it!
Is that a crystal or Ice atop that pillar? As an added effect for it, show off some mist or something similiar rolling off it and perhaps doing a little clockwise swirl around the pillar.
Is it just me or is his body&above ratio a little small for his torso&below?
I really do hate it when people do split-screen showcases of Updated Graphics vs Vanilla ones.
Oh look the "Mars" looking planet looks pretty crappy, but I can't see what it looks like in Sikkmod because the camera won't pan over their...
A side-by-side comparison, two separate windows would be much appreciated.
I like this map, makes me think of WoW's maps.
This is a cosmetic thing, but I wish that if the mountains in the background was blocking the sky from reflecting from that angle, the water wouldn't reflect that light.
I would suggest some global black fog, to make distant objects look darker than the ones closest to your vicinity.
(1) Stone tiles should reflect light, so I would add a boxlight (Or edit your current one) to be brighter.
(2) Place some dirt decals underneath the pillars.
Ha ha, does this include the variations like pick-up and stuff?
Add more edge loops along the curve of the window (Second)so it's smoother. It won't hurt to add a extra 50-100 faces to an already low poly object.
It might be a little annoying in gameplay, but for "cinematic moments" would be pretty awesome. (Nice music also)
Any plans for random/timed environmental lava surges that can be used to your advantage and/or against you at the same time?
(Can be anything from little lava rivers you have to jump over to entire sections of the map submerged/emerged temporarily.)
Also the map feels empty, rocks are good and all. But they blend really easily giving it a very good color palette of rock.
Black Iron chains, plates, walls around to give some uniqueness to the environment.
I really like the music, sounds good for a Title Menu.
And oh god that lava moves to much, I would be terrified getting close to that... Mario Sunshine goop.
The fireplace (You'll probably have to edit it) should not be casting such a prominent shadow on the on the table/violin/chairs.
With all that light pouring in from the window, the shadow cast by the fireplace should be about 50-75% less noticeable.
Seems perfect to me.
I find it amusing their is actual bone for the right eye giving that squinty look. :D
Will this Survival Arena have perilous drops/walkways. Like Demon Souls in the Queen's Castle, you can be knocked off while knocking your opponents off into oblivion.
And I hope those flesh mouths try to grab you off platforms!
Huh, looks half stylized like a Borderlands 2 character.
You still got visible seams along the shoulders, the shield has some really eye drawing ones on it's sides, and the sides of the legs has some minor seams.
His kneecaps could of used some more work I think, hard to tell if he has any.
I don't know why he is crosseyed...
But on his right foot, why is his last two toes bright green, while the rest is darker? Same goes for his left foot.
He also seriously needs eyebrows, people just look weird without them.
His new name is Krillin.
The only thing I could ask more would be castles or some type of large structures out in the distance.
The tower is a starting touch, but I'd like to feel like I'm in a larger world. (Like the tower, the regions of land in the far distance help.)
And when I say a larger world, I want to feel connected to something else larger than this instanced land (I'm assuming this is some kind of instanced Arena?). I want to ask myself questions such as "What's going on over their?", "Can I go over their?" or better yet, "I know that place!".
Something like Dark Souls open world where you can see other parts of the map and be like "Hmmm there's an area over their I haven't explored yet. I should figure out that later." or just plain nostalgia.
To many lit torches, take out 3-4 or turn them off. The blue billboards are to blue saturated. Turn them a tad more grey (They should be no their or lighter the brighter the room is, while more pronounced the dimmer the room is).
And you might want to play around with colors me, they aren't very complimentary to each other as it stands.
The muscles/bone? Around the neck looks really excessive, (Makes his neck look really stretched IMO.), especially for archers. I'd hate to fight a warrior/juggernaut if this is what Archers look like. D=
Hard to tell, but you should rotate the crops at the bottom left. A lot, if not most, seem to be facing the same direction.
Nice, tad empty though. Needs a troll (or a troll skeleton) under the bridge.
Looks good (First one is the better of the two), I think you could add some additional post-processing effects. Like the Spitter dude could have a fireball launching towards the character, and some shiny reflections/lens flare on the armor + sword. Or show off that shiny shield you made earlier on his back. :D
I thought the low-poly Ravager had more detail in his skin? (Looked back on your images). He seems to be lacking the small skin details, but that could just be something about the distance form the camera.
Btw, the box underneath the torch is floating a couple of inches off the ground.
Thanks to! :)
I guess it's alright, I'd rather have a full wallpaper with Duncan (Or another NPC) character fighting hordes of Orcs.
Or something like your Concept Art as a background.
I haven't bought yet W2 (I'm waiting for the price to drop a bit more or a sale)
But how extensive would you consider the editor to be? Can we import our own models/effects/sounds/anything basically.
Is scripting open (Or something along the lines of War3 or SC2?) or just a limited console GUI?
Is it animated? :O
You should consider raising the sky height, like a lot. I swear I can touch those clouds.
I agree, this one obscures to much of the terrain.
