In my profile's comments, you might notice something about rewriting idTech 3 in C++. While I did not rewrite the engine itself in C++, just renamed .c files to .cpp and fixed errors, I did rewrite a good chunk of the game library. Now there are actual entity classes instead of structs with function pointers.
(also TBH, working on this engine is a big excuse for me to learn & use TrenchBroom, amazing map editor)
