Warp Speed is 2D multiplayer shooter aimed towards casual as well as competitive gamers. Fundamentals of the project are fast-paced gameplay, mindblowing visuals and the highest possible entertainment value.
Key feature of the game:
Warp Speed features unique physics that allows you to rotate the dude around his axis. You control the gravity so you're no longer bound to the floor. You can get to every corner of the map and there's no need to use jetpacks, ninja ropes and other junk.
What does it change compared to other 2D shooters?
You can utilize levels more efficiently. Classic problem of most 2D shooters' *flat* gameplay is gone.
Theme:
You are a human/cyborg in a hi-tech environment.
Plot:
Just knock 'em dead, tiger.
Modding:
Warp Speed is going to be heavily moddable. Topdown is no problem, as is the totally different from original Warp Speed - Hools mod (check out recent images!) about beating the crap out of your opponent with a baseball bat and stuff like that. Keep your eye out on that!

Apologies for such a huge gap in the updates! We had to shut up for a while and concentrate on work. Focused as never before we've generated such a huge gap between the last release and this one that it literally got beyond our comprehension! BTW. This update was originally scheduled for the end of August:P

It was a bit odd to play though, well it's not like something we are used to so.
But you have a good concept here!

Hmm, mouse cursor is moving so slow, and hero isnt aiming in mouse direction, but im looking for it. (It was more fun with these boxes in previous alpha :P )
We're going to cover a couple useful console commands to deal with mouse sensitivity issues and other stuff in a few days, stay tuned!
