I really like driving the vehicles. It's even more fun now that Larry told me what keys to hit to get in them. :)

A couple of suggestions. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet (and I know you're working on the crafting system now), it would be cool to be able to craft some kind of collection system to add to the cars. Something that could automatically scoop up items that are dropped by all of the creatures you run over.

Maybe it could look like some sort of crude mechanical contraption that scooped things up into a bin on the roof, and they could rattle around in there while you're driving. It should probably have a certain percentage chance of catching, dropping, or even destroying items. So you'd have to decide if you want to use it (allowing you to stay in the car and be safer, but not collecting 100% of the drops), or not use it (takes longer and more dangerous, but you can be more thorough in gathering items).

Overall I like the feel of the controls on the car, but it took some adjusting to switch back and forth between the controls for walking around and the controls for the car, since they are two different schemes. I kept thinking that I could just push W to drive toward the crosshairs (similar what you do when walking). You could add a similar system for driving the car, in addition to the controls you have now. But I'm guessing that you're planning on having guns mounted on vehicles eventually, so you may need an independent crosshair at that point, so you can drive in one direction and shoot in another.

Maybe another solution would be to take the driving type controls and make those an optional way of controlling the player when walking. So W and S still move forward and back, but A and D could turn, and maybe somehow still combine it with the "walk toward my crosshairs" approach. Just an idea...hard to say if it would feel right without actually prototyping it.

Keep up the good work. Even though this is in the very early stages, I can definitely see that it's heading in a very cool direction.

Thanks Chad!

I love the idea for the pickup attachment thing, it is a cool idea to have it pick up a percentage of them.

The controls are setup for the car to allow for us to eventually have tank turrets on them. So they would shoot to the cursor and you could drive in any direction while doing so with the other controls. It is something that we are open for suggestions and different modes for moving so all is good with that too.

We will keep getting it full featured here and see how things flesh out. The input is greatly appreciated and we are glad you see the potential in Violent Sol that we see. Keep playing and looking for the next build it is a great help to have such thoughtful input from a player and a fan.
