The Game
Beginner thief with magical powers, overgrown and extremely strong gnome, and smart elf with the powerful bow. Three heroes whose fates are suddenly tangled up with each other and lust for wealth leads to the one… But will they find what they expect at the end of the journey?
“The Tale of Three” will be an action-adventure game with some RPG elements, but we won’t hold your hand throughout the story. There will be a lot to discover but nothing will be given on a plate. We focus on a maximum immersion and high level of difficulty like in the old-school games.
Currently we are working on PC version of the game that we want to release in the fall 2015. It will be also possible to port it for GNU/Linux and Mac but it depends on exceeding the minimum goal of our Indiegogo campaign.

Inspirations
Among the inspirations we have to mention fables and tales from our childhood like those by the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, Charles Perrault, and many, many others. When it comes to games, we take pattern from “Hype: The Time Quest” (it’s quite old but still charming), the “Gothic” series, “Fable: The Lost Chapters”, “The Witcher” series, and “Dark Souls”.
So what we want to achieve is to create something that will make us feel the same magic we felt when our mothers and fathers read us stories in childhood, and then when we played games as teenagers. Sometimes contemporary productions look pretty but finishing them no longer makes such pleasure like in the old ones. We would like to return to the roots, drawn from the DNA of classics and make for you something that you will want to play again.
Technology
We are using Unreal Engine which is a wonderful tool for game development. It powers such titles as “BioShock”, “Splinter Cell”, “Batman”, “Borderlands”, “Thief”, “Fable Legends”, “Gears of War”, “Mass Effect” and much more. The newest version of this engine allows us to build a detailed world with a day/night cycle, weather events and without loading screens.
Also we are going to use SpeedTree to create stunning plants as well as Mixamo to animate characters and animals.
History
We are friends whose love for games leaded to set up gameDNA studio, which so far is two-person indie game development team.
We have spent plenty of time playing games and we have always dreamt of creating them, so over a year ago we started to explore the possibilities and learn everything about game development. The first engine, which we used, was good and thanks to it we learned the basics but we wanted something more. Then, in, we decided to move to Unreal Engine 4. We started again and in the last three months we have created the pre-alpha version that you can see in the trailer.
Currently, we are running the campaign on Indiegogo in order to fund the development: Igg.me
