The Protectors of Etheria is a stand-alone mod of the game Warlords Battlecry 3 (i.e. it can be run without having the original game installed - 100% free full game). Continuing the talk about auto-casting of abilities, in 0.9 you can call up a special unit manager that allows you to pre-set the auto-casting options of abilities and set a unit's default attitude. All newly produced or summoned units will then adopt these changes (although attitude overrides on buildings still apply as normal).
These changes last for the remainder of the current scenario, but players can choose to save these changes for future games to remove the need to set these every battle. So if you want some scouting Eagles but don't want to alter your Eyries' attitudes, you can set them to scout here. If you only ever use Eagles for scouting, then you can choose to save this change so in future games they'll always be set to scout by default.
There's also a reset option that restores a unit's attitude to it's default and remove the auto-casting from it's abilities.
This unit manager can be called up by middle clicking on a unit's image in the control panel or on it's window in a production panel.
Elegant and practical, as usual. It's great that we can mix and match, so we can find our preferred combination and don't have to worry about our units using their abilities too early or too rarely. And saving these attitudes for future games is just a cherry on top.
