The Final Frontier is a game about colonizing space, the player starts on his home planet from where he needs to start colonizing planets. which gives the ability to mine the planets moons and eventually terraform the planet. Terraformed planets have the ability to have a growing population and build things on the planet.

pre-alpha release data

when
I'm aiming to release the (pre-)pre-alpha on saturday 6/6/2015. After that development will slow down because I have exams. But don't worry I won't forget the project.

why a pre-alpha release this early in development
I think that everyone should be able to see the game itself as it develops, with then most of the major core gameplay elements in place I think it would be a good idea, it's not going to be something like a full pre-alpha I like to call it a pre-pre-alpha. It will also allow me to get some feedback about the planet generation and maybe detect some bugs which will be easy to fix when the project is still small.

What's going to be in this version:

  • the planet generation
  • mining moons
  • resource costs
  • planet control
  • colonizing
  • terraforming(maybe)
