Coming Soon! We are launching Sminis the first Thursday after it gets approved by Apple, we are certainly still aiming for March 1st but some last minute improvements might push it back The Sminis are escaping! Through a freak accident an evil scientist’s littlest robot minions have been given free will and are now seeking freedom one Smini at a time. Help the Sminis navigate the evil scientist’s facilities without letting too many of them get crushed, sliced, destroyed by one of the evil scientist’s guardian robots or any of the obstacles standing in your way. Sminis is a timing and skill based game that pits you and your reflexes against carefully crafted levels full of obstacles and potential Smini destruction. Stylistic 3D environments using the Unreal Engine make each level a visual treat and allow for added depth and required strategy for each of Sminis levels. SMINIS! Yes that’s right, SMINIS!

Hi!

My name is Omar Bouras and I am one of the developers at Angry Rock Studios. I haven't had a chance to post anything on this site yet and I find that regretful, so here I am. We have been working very hard on Sminis for the past several months and I apologize for the lack of posts and news. Sometimes we completely forget to keep the internet informed. Sminis is going through some of it's final design elements at this moment, taking care of last minute menu systems, implementing game center, and getting the final improvements made to the last section of levels.

Feel free to also check out our website www.angryrockstudios.com as we post a Development Journal Blog detailing all of our ups and downs in the design process of Sminis so far, we also have a few snippets from our previous in development game that we placed on hold till Sminis was done if you want a taste of what were gonna be releasing next.

Over the next few weeks we hope to lay out what it took to bring Sminis to life and hopefully shed some light on Independent Game Design for any and all who are interested in the process (though I'm sure if your on this site you probably have some idea). Following posts should include:

3D Assets

Pre-Post programming

GUI

Overall Polish

Play Testing

Creating a Game through Telecommunication

Sound Design

I believe in being as transparent as possible when it comes to creating a product that I love and one that I am making for the intention of other people who love it to enjoy, one of my passions is 3D Animation and I find watching the behind-the-scenes videos to be almost more entertaining than the movie itself sometimes, so… here’s to that.

P.S. Hopefully we'll have some video footage up soon as well.
