ScrumbleShip is the most accurate space combat simulation devised to date. Gather resources, construct a capital ship out of individual blocks, then pilot it with AI or human help against other players.
Whoa - that's a lot of multitasking! Still, somehow I pictured you in a reclined bowl chair with a full hemisphere of monitors above you! Interesting to see how you actually work on SS.
The window on the far left in the main window I'm working on. The next one over is my reference window - I look at other portions of similar code I've written and re-use bits and pieces when appropriate. Next is my testing window - Once I've finished a set of changes, I use this window to run my program and test it out. Over from there is a not-currently-used additional reference window, and the final window is a reference window for how the save files are constructed - Which is exactly what I was working on at the time!
Lots of windows; Lots of information available; One task.
And now for something completely different.
This is what my desktop looks like when I'm working on ScrumbleShip. Five instances of rxvt, four of vim stretched across two monitors.
Filename is "dirksoniscrazy.png" ;)

Wasn't there an article on Gamasutra about how horrible Multitasking is for programmers?
I'm not actually multitasking in this screenshot.
