Red Sky Project is based on Unreal Engine 4, current stage of development is prototyping. I am working on it in order to create playable demo, which i can show on Kickstarter. I am fully capable of programming, level designing etc. but I am lack of 3D modeling skill so it is important to expand team to more than one person :D. Kickstarter is the best solution for student without resources.
Let's write something about gameplay!
The game genre is something what i called semi-mmo. I think idea is similar to multiplayer concept of DayZ or Rust where large amount of players are thrown in one huge map. It is not typical mmo but something close.
The main target for players will be surviving, they need to eat, drink and maintain their health in good condition. You can be harmed by other player, mutants or automated defense system of colony.
During your journey through steel halls, you will collect equipment, weapons, clothing, armors, implants, etc.
Also you can allow your character to be infected. It will grant you some physical power, maybe immune to some hazardous environment, but it will decrease your intelligence and make you unable to use advanced devices.
In more distant plans, I think about shelter system where players can store they items. Maybe possibility to capture interiors, locking rooms which codes or which eye-scan.
I hope you will comment a bit my idea and this raw screens of early map prototype (without proper lighting!) :)
