I still need about a week to finish the current build. I would like to have it finished for this Friday, although I can not guarantee it. In any case I believe that it is already a good time for you to request the invitation.
Considering that some core mechanics of the game still have to be implemented and many of the existing ones lack more depth and development, I prefer to be cautious and therefore to assign the status of Alpha version.

The invitations will be sent when the build is uploaded to the steam servers within a few days as I mentioned.
