Great idea but some of the design elements are nonsensical, clearly chosen for how they look rather than how they actually play.
The note track shouldn't be bent, the notes should be entering the screen in line with the keys they represent.(F notes barely even touch the F key, it's enough to make you think it's a glitch or error)
The notes should not be 3D models which spin, it makes it very difficult to judge exact timing when two notes close together are spinning, the models next to each-other seem to overlap and it is visually confusing.
The keys don't provide enough feedback for the correct activation point, they are unnecessarily large.
The rest of the game shows real polish but these "core aspects" are lacking refinement in my personal opinion.
Yes, all of this can be gotten over with repeat playing to learn timing by rote and that "the one which passes close to F is F" but that's not something you should have to do, it feels like you're battling the UI more than anything.

what I played of the demo Its a tempting buy the music is good the controls though seem to feel strange also the voice acting is kinda bad (I mean no offness) but its story catches my eye and I love the art work so its hard to say if i should buy or not for 2.59 though that isnt a bad price
Totally love this game. Great idea. The controls were really fiddly and hard at first, but with some perseverence, I'm getting better at playing it and it's really fun trying to get all the notes right. The one thing I really hate though is that there seems to be no way to skip the very long story intros if you wish to go back and replay a previous level. I really don't have the patience to wait for ages just to play one level, and I find that so offputting that it makes me not want to bother playing the game.
You can use "spacebar" button on Your keyboard to skip the movies.
great idea, great ost and overall good concept. BUt! and it's a big one. controls are nearly impossible to config. had to change them 3 or 4 times until the game was playable, and this is coming from someone with a piano at home.
The controls feel so unnatural, to me. Despite this, I think the game is quite interesting; however, I think it is better suited for a mobile device (such as the ipad). I'm sure if I give it time I, may, get used to the controls, on pc.
Piano "Hero" with an excellent story? Seems like a must! Good work there, your video is really catchy!
