Epsylon - The Guardians of Xendron takes the player on a journey to a futuristic world investigating a very special Science-Fiction setup. With a team of rather different characters the player investigates, and if required fights, his way through a large case. How you solve the case is though up to you. Combine the strength of your team members is important as no team member alone can crack the case alone.

Most games feature a simple Inventory System which provides the Player with one Inventory for his character, no matter what he is carrying. In Epsylon the player decides himself how much Inventory Space and hence drawbacks his characters do have. Each character has a set of Pack-Slots. In each such slot he can equip a Pack-Item which provides additional inventory space. With each Pack-Item though also comes a certain drawback in form of Weight and Encumbrance (hence Agility reduction). It's thus up to the Player to find the optimal tradeoff between large inventory and agility.

The Inventory of each Pack-Item is represented by a number which describes the amount of items that can be stashed. Each item has such a number (which is decimal) indicating the space needed to stash. In addition each Pack-Item has a minimal size requirement for items to be placed there. Thus a large item will not fit in the pockets but in a backpack. You have to only watch the space-load of each Pack-Item as the item-size restriction is rather straight forward and intuitive.

So stay tuned until the next feature post which will be even more interesting for all those who like freedom in their games.
