Platformer Elfscape: Ancestors is telling the story of a temple Guardian. She is asleep, waiting for the prophecy to come true - when the Chosen One shall descend underground, he'll fight a victorious battle against a Demon. One day, the Guardian is awakened, and she quickly realises the Chosen one is nowhere in sight. She needs to find him, and quickly - her life energy depends on it. Elfscape: Ancestors brings 24 levels, distributed into 6 environments, through which you'll be accompanied by an epic story told through visual-novel-like elements. Supported using public funding by Slovak Arts Council (www.fpu.sk)

Capsule designs

Dev Diary 70

Hello there!

We’ve been talking for a while about being close to finishing our game - and we’re getting closer and closer everyday! From the programming side, the last months have all been about fixing small bugs and polishing things, for example:

  • fixing healthbar position in UI
  • adding more explanations into the tutorial
  • fixing that music cuts when you pick up a weapon
  • adding doors to the weapon room
  • fixing after death sound effects
  • fixing jumping during dialogue
  • and so much more...

From the soundtrack and audio side, we’re all set to go. And from the graphics side, right now we are working on creating a Steam capsule to represent Elfscape:Ancestors.

So, here, look at some pretty pictures! 🙂
