Babylon 5: IFH - D&O is the prequel four mission campaign to the I've Found Her series of a story set into the Universe of the Babylon 5 Sci-Fi TV Series. It features fully simulated realistic space combat. Although in the singleplayer campaign the player is only able to pilot a SA-23C "Aurora" Starfury Fighter, they have access to a wider arsenal of fighters which they can pilot while testing their skills vs the challenging AI or in multiplayer skirmishes. The game also offers a limited CO-OP mode. For those who wish to go a step further, the file archive also offers a mission editor with a coding guide which they can use to make their own missions. Or they can try and create their own unique ships and skins.

Is there a chance of getting the source code and resource files for IFH:DO? Or if nothing else a way to open the .war files? I've made a rudimentary B5 game in the Godot engine, and would like to recreate DO in it. Flying around b6 in vr is REALLY cool (even if I can't get the darn PID controller to cooperate...)
There is no known way to open the .war files (at least none that I'm aware of). And I'm pretty sure the source code is long lost because of how old the game is :(
RIP IFH! I wrote a little thank you tribute post in your forums..

Just installed it today and applied 115rc6 patch before attempting to run it for the first time.
I play on an 3840x1600 ultrawide monitor and found that most resolutions don't work correctly for me. At best I have to play in Windowed mode.
During the intro cutscene, I can see a Skip button at the top right but I have no cursor to click on it. I can hit ESC. Once I'm at the main menu however, I again get no Mouse Cursor. An orange yellow one seems to be there at the very beginning but it disappears when I try to move my mouse and cannot get it to re-appear.
If I just hit Enter, Select Pilot lights up and the screen just seems to refresh itself without achieving much else. I can only hit ESC to quit the game.
I got in touch with Renderer just now and he said that indeed the engine is too old to run on ultrawide. For this it would have to be recompiled, but there isn't such an old version of VS available to him.
Unfortunate, but expected to be honest. Hopefully it runs fine at least on your older machine.
I'm sorry to hear this, but I'm afraid that, with how old the engine is, it may simply be unable to run on such an aspect ratio. Alternatively, 3840x1600 is not exactly 21:9 aspect ratio, so the problem may be coming from there as well.
As for the mouse problem - the screen only seems to refresh because it attempts to select a pilot from the list, but there isn't one. So it brings you back to the same screen. You can create a new pilot by using the newpilot console command, then hit enter to select it. But once you're at the main menu you can't use the keyboard to navigate it :/
I cannot personally help you with this issue, but I'll try to get in touch with Renderer and get back to you. It may take a while though.
Thank you for the reply.
I will try to install on a older, different machine with a lower resolution to see if it will work there.
It does work like a charm for me on a 1920x1080 @60 Hz. In settings it does show higher ones, though, despite the fact that my monitor doesn't support them.
Do I need a joy-stick to make the cursor move...?
You should be able to play with just mouse and keyboard. What issues are you experiencing, if any? Please give a detailed description so I can help you.
