Everyone interested in 2D Myst-like adventures and indie games development might be interested in this Making Of Catyph. It is a detailed and illustrated article, where I present the different stages of the game creation that I went through during the 2 years long development process. It begins with the pre-production stage (ideas, puzzles and rough sketches) and continues with the whole development in 3dsmax (modeling, animation, render, compositing) and the programming/scripting in Visionaire Studio.

On the right: final model rendered in 3dsmax.

Production process of a background of the game.
Region Saad is an oasis, an alien forest in a reddish hostile desert.

and the result in the game.
