Hey everyone! In this post we’ll be giving an update on the development of RunMan Turbo so far (as of February 2023), what’s being worked on currently and plans for the future!
Past:
The return of RunMan was announced back in September, and there was a great response from both old fans and new - thank you! Since then, the main focus has been on designing Act 1: Bliss Valley and nailing the story. There was also a playtest for the game and we launched a Teaser Trailer!
The development of RunMan Turbo is staying very faithful to the Tom Sennett Games universe, so making sure the bright colours and big personality translate into the gameplay and level design has been a priority. So far, the focus has been on getting Act 1 to a good place. After some experimentation and changes within the development of Act 1, the rest of the game will follow more smoothly with all the main decisions made.
We collected some valuable feedback from a playtest we ran on an early build. Letting you all see a glimpse into the game was really helpful and fun to see what everyone’s initial thoughts were! Join the Discord if you want to take part in future playtests! Link at the bottom of the post.
The launch of RunMan Turbo’s Teaser Trailer happened at the end of 2022 - you can watch it here! There’s still a lot of game to show, so stay tuned over the coming months!
Present:
Currently, development is focused around content for the demo. For you to get your hands on the game is the main priority, as you’ll be able to get a feel for what the game is really like as well as share any thoughts on it! The demo will be centered around Act 1, but I won’t say any more as we don’t want to ruin the surprise!
Future:
RunMan Turbo has big plans for the future! We’ll have content over on social media, monthly Devlogs on Steam, as well as hopefully appearing in some other places online - make sure you follow us to stay updated!
In terms of development, RunMan Turbo has a few more acts, unlockables and super-secret content to make it into the game so it’s full steam ahead to make everything as good as it can be.
