Why is this not on steam?
Check again. It is.
I wish I knew. It suppose to be up on Steam today. However, why not to get it from Desura?
can I LAN play with one copy of Steel Storm? or do I have to purchase multiple copies?
Unfortunately, it seems it's not like early C&C with 2CD editions or Heroes of Might and Magic III that allowed LAN multiplayer on multiple computers with only one player having the CD inside. Perhaps it's real shame, indies could do better than that.
You shouldn't really ask questions like that booman ;)
Do you have to buy another copy of Windows if you have 2 computers at home? I suppose so :)
DRM... I hate it.
o_O Where did you see DRM ?
It would have to use some form of DRM to make it so that two copies must be purchased to play even LAN.
CD Key activation is probably the most socially acceptable DRM, but it`s still DRM. If you want a game with no DRM at all, check out Star Ruler :)
