Following our little teaser last week we present a short preview of the Webley Mk.IV revolver modelled and textured by [TWDEV] volcol, animated by [TWDEV] chad509 and with sound effects from our most recent team members [TWCON] EAR. You can see some more of their work on the website.

What is the song at the beginning?
It's a custom soundtrack, composed by [TWDEV]SwadianFC and [TWDEV]Callum Bigden I reckon.

"You reckon?" Tut tut Maniche :P
It's Faire la Guerre, part of the Traction Wars original soundtrack, indeed composed by me and [TWDEV]SwadianFC
Haha! Sorry, Call, I didn't have time to get the pack just yet!

You should try implementing a weapon jamming mechanic.
First off, OH MY GOODNESS THE MUSIC TRACKS ARE SO PERFECT
Anyway, I think the sounds could use a little work - try adding some pitch/gain development intervals (like basically so not every single shot sounds exactly identical to one another). Also, I think a bit of smoke particle effect discharge coming out of the barrel of the weapon would do some sexy space magic. :D But aside from that, looks perfect. :)
Thank you, Marth!
We're already looking at it, but truth be told - the Vanilla SDK particles isn't up to our standards, so we left them out of this video.
So don't you worry - it's already taken note of.
And thank you for the kind comments - our composers will love it!

I would recommend holding the gun with both hands while shooting (I can tell you from experience that it is very difficult to be accurate with one hand).
But it looks incredible. Great job.
They were actually trained to hold and fire it with one hand in WW II... I bet you didn't know that! ;)
Anyway there's something odd about the animation when he grabs the gun to close it... I'm just a layman but the movement feels awkward.
How interesting. Your right, I didn't know that. It really is not the best way to fire a handgun.
Its not the best but its not bad. I've done it with little trouble, it just practice. Remember combat is not a convenient occurrence, a soldier must accurately return fire in any sort of situation, from a vast number of stances, firing with one hand is a commonly taught stance :)
valid points, and learning to shoot in many stances is definitely useful.
But in general it is better to learn the most stable and controllable shot style possible. If anything, this is even more important for combat situations. With adrenaline pulsing through you and your heart racing you need all the stability you can get.
