Thanks ! The Alpha we ran was a year ago, and most of the game wasn't any fun so you haven't been missing out. We'll see what we do for the beta. In the meantime, feel free to comment on the Steam forum, we're super happy with feedback :)
We don't have a pan to support Mac OS. There is an array of reasons we are not planning Mac support :
- I believe most Mac models wouldn't run the game smoothly at full quality, due to the sub-pars GPUs usually used.
- Some Mac users run Windows or Linux as well with Bootcamp, both systems are supported.
- We don't have one to test it on, and it's quite an investment. There is no way to cross-build Unreal for Mac OS, and Apple forbids using Mac OSX in a virtual machine, making testing only possible on a Mac.
Doesn't mean we won't ever do it, but no promises.
We want people to mod the game so yeah, we will release at least some of the assets. Some of them we just can't - they are commercial assets that we bought, so it's not up to us to release them - but others we can.
No, this is a 100% single-player game.
Not it download everything in the current folder. Try using a wired connection if you are on wireless...
It means that some of the heavy files were not downloaded entirely (yes some of the files are as heavy as 300MB). The final size should be around 800MB but since the files are checked, the download will not stop until the files are downloaded without errors.
The main issue is that a connexion drop will result in the file being redownloaded from the start.
The progress bar seem to be the issue, we are having other complaints. Try to let the download go on.
Thanks ! Sadly Steam Greeenlight is only available for commercial games, IIRC, so we can't use it.
That is indeed hard to do with Scaleform, a workaround is to simply use the keyboard like most Scaleform games do.
Windows and Mac players should be able to play together.
Currently we do not have a public version. Private testing will start in a few weeks, we plan on releasing a beta this year.
Yes, don't forget that this is a low gravity environment. Also, we like fast games with high jumps and fast overall movement. :)
