What is it ?
Deepvoid is an upcoming free Sci-Fi FPS built on the Unreal Engine 3 (UDK).
This multiplayer-only shooter features a fast gameplay, various gametypes, high-end graphics and sound. For the first release this year, at least two (space-themed) complete levels should be complete.All UnrealScript code is published for reference !
Developments
- The game is based on the classical Capture The Flag game mode.
- DeepVoid features a master server, that keeps statistics on every player, letting them know how well they do. This system was tested with ~100 players and proved to work. The currently developped extension is a public interface on our website so that the best players are publicly ranked.
- We have a complete user interface : HUD, main menu with settings, server browsing and game statistics.
- Public dedicated servers, listed dynamically in the game interface, are working and will be available to players.
Project status
The game is currently playable online, with working weapons and gameplay. It has a complete, sleek GUI, a ranking server with detailed statistics, dedicated servers and more !
We aim to release the game this summer.

Two levels done !
We now have two complete levels on DeepVoid, a small Team-Deathmatch arena and a very large Capture-The-Flag map. The screenshots are just there !
Private beta, more testing
We also started a private beta program with 100 selected players, so that we find and fix all bugs remaining in the game. Our target is now to release the game with 3 complete levels in July.
Most of the work to be done now is on game stability, networking, and of course our last level !

Looks really cool. Can a windows player and a mac player play together? Or is it Windows only and Mac only?

Currently we do not have a public version. Private testing will start in a few weeks, we plan on releasing a beta this year.
