I can't wait till release. Going to show all my friends this mod too =)
I do sure hope for a sequel. Maybe. Possibly.
I talked about this game on my profile, despite it being such a long time since this mod was released. This is one of the best puzzle mods for the half life 2 engine; and if the developer is still lurking here I want to thank you for delivering such an amazing mod.
I do believe this game has been released, so this page should be updated =)
Small review: It's a fantastic game. It definitely delivers on "dungeon crawler" aspects such as inventory management, role playing elements, tricky puzzles, varying enemies and weapons with different statistics, and a lengthy 10 hour play through. Not to mention the large amount of secrets.
Puzzles are very well done; although some are challenging, they are very satisfying to complete.
One complaint is story; which shouldn't be much of a surprise. It's rather cliche and predictable. Obviously, the story should not impede your game play experience which I find polished and well-tuned.
The point and click system, used to operate buttons, levers, inventory management, and basic combat all add to the immersion of the game. While some may dislike the concept of dragging everything you find into your inventory and the lengthy amount of times it takes to do necessary actions (such as eating or using a potion), I find that it adds some sense of danger or even realism to the experience.
9/10
I talked about Resistance and Liberation if any of you would like to read it on my profile. I suppose one can call it a review, but I meant it to be more of a personal overview of the game and its community.
Thanks for providing this mod; it's been a blast since I have first played it =)
I really enjoyed this mod. The atmosphere and sound was absolutely phenomenal.
However (spoiler?) I don't like how some enemies obviously disappear and reappear from time to time. If it was less obvious when enemies despawn, the atmosphere would be eve more intense than it already is.
The combat was absolutely gorgeous.
I enjoyed this game a lot.
I'm quite terrible at it though, but if you play with the right people with voice chat, it's the most hilarious game ever.
I read the author commentary, and it was very interesting.
I'm glad you got inspiration from Dear Esther and Radiator. I wish Radiator would update again though =/
Is this their office?
I still remember when they moved in... and now it looks awesome =0
Whoa. It's you guys again.
What the hell man? Apparently, I can't express my opinion anymore without getting insulted.
I was thinking about downloading this.
...Are there any servers on it? A lot of you people seem pretty upset.
I don't agree with that.
Am I the only who who thinks it's completely silly to see a sword cut through flesh and bone cleanly? It would be more impressive and believable if the sword went far enough until it was "stuck" in the flesh. Then the attacker would pull it out and be ready for the next foe. This could lead to some interesting combat scenarios but I'm not sure how easy it would be add that.
I'm not a sword person, I never held one, but I'm pretty sure most swords aren't light sabers.
Haven't played this game in a year until now, I really forgot how fun this game was.
A shame there aren't too many people that play it still.
I've played many hl2 mods before, and I have to say, this is one of the best right on track with Research and Development.
The only complaint I have is that you reused some scare tactics from the original game, but the mannequin part was brilliant although I've seen them before in another game.
The part I was most impressed with were the closing walls and looking through the window and seeing the skeletons of the swat through the opening of the vent. That part was great.
SEQUEL??!!!
OH PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE!
I thought Notch was taking a break from Minecraft for the New Year and when he's back, he'll get working on the cake.
Gameplay first, then audio second.
More specifically, music. Because I love music.
You know, before this new rating system came out I spent a great deal of time on my reviews. They were very long compared to some of the reviews I've seen, and I tried to cover almost every aspect of the game, good or bad. I thought they were really good reviews. I did about 5 or 6 of them on Half Life 2 mods and now they are gone! I really did spend a lot of time on them, but I can't find a way to recover them...
=(
If someone can respond, that would be helpful.
I heard on the forum that Minecraft.net is being attacked by hacker(s). I can't get on the site.
I feel guilty.
I haven't played this game in while, I really should again.
The diamond is a lie.
Just played it.
I stole someones torches since I couldn't find coal ^^ Still have some issues though, which should be corrected in the future.
These guys even appear on peaceful.
They must be under a floating island right?

I enjoy playing and reviewing Half Life 2 mods. I also enjoy playing guitar, some drawing, and some writing. Very recently, I started posting "overviews of various half lfie 2 modifications. They are meant to be personal accounts of what I felt about the game. I try to be as unbiased as possible, but If you want to read a descriptive essay on popular modifications, you have come to the right place.
