Fire arrows did actually see usage just not as anti-personel, where they are almost entirely useless. As a seige weapon, certainly, if you launch a thousand flaming arrows into a city then there's a chance of setting something on fire. That then draws man-power away from the walls and such, the last thing you want is to be defending a pile of ash.

We've found this way gives us much more artistic flexibility when it comes to joining areas which will enable us to better use cloth physics and such. This way also reduces the number of separate models significantly and allows us to focus on quality rather than quantity.
It certainly will be, the exact number of slots comes with balancing, but it'll be expandable for sure.

Yep, we debated long and hard about whether to separate the pieces of armour but in the end we settled for this way. It of course limits the player's combustibility, but it gives us a lot more artistic freedom so we can hopefully make every piece of armour realistic and interesting without having to worry about technical issues.
There will be plenty of armour to choose from though, so you'll still have plenty of choice :)

1) Yes, we are still looking into a similar style for the basic controls. However, we're straying away from M&B quite a bit in a hope to improve on the concept.

2) At first likely not full-blown climbing, but ledge-grabs and minor parkour elements like that could potentially find a place if it improves the flow of things. Caving will definitely feature, though how technical we're not sure yet. ;)

This has a really nice potential. If you can nail the 'feel' it will certainly be great. I'm picturing it being somewhere between Dishonoured and Bioshock with a bit of Half-life thrown in for good measure?

Yep, the entire continent is rather large, but we are developing it by regions. ;)
We have considered Kickstarter, but I can't say more than that at the moment, we will announce our plans before long.

We have considered Multiplayer, but at the moment it's just not feasible. Later down the line we may look into it more seriously, but at the moment our main focus is getting a great single-player experience.

Unfortunately most assets made for both versions of MERP require too much work to port (and have look good).
We probably won't be using the music either, we want to keep our style far more consistent than with MERP. It would be great to reuse as much as possible, but we can't do so without loss of quality on Althas.

With the latest new post on here, you've actually hidden the direct link to the Kickstarter, at the moment you either have to find the last news post or go through youtube. If you want to properly drive traffic, stick a large link on the latest post as well. ;)
