May I suggest you never hardcode a location. Make use of windows' documents/mygames location.

I recently received Recruits via the Build a Greenlight bundle.

I installed the game, went to launch it (Recruits_Alpha_v0.035\Binaries\Win32\UDK.exe) and I'm greeted by the Create Profile screen. I try to put anything in that blank and click create, but it says Profile Creation Failed. I cannot get any further than this.

Could anybody help me?

There is always a reason for getting disconnected.

Go to C:\Users\*WINDOWS USERNAME*\AppData\Local\ArmA2Free\arma2free.rpt (open that will notepad).

I bet it'll say why you were disconnected in there. Either that or an admin kicked you, but you'd know about that.

It's not a horrible game, it just might not be to your likings because it's a little hardcore.

Right, the bought game is higher quality than the free 2 play one. You get campaigns, mod support and high quality textures/models/graphics/etc.

Who cares if they have dedicated servers, they are going to be from "Trusted Hosts" only, which makes it as good as useless.

that makes me laugh. If DICE isn't lying about the maps taking 1 week to compile, then the problem is that their engine is just a big pile of **** under the hood. Sorry to say, but the truth hurts.

I think this is just a big slap to the face and I don't think DICE gives a ****.
