Stories are what will be going back into the game after the next update. I think you might be looking at older versions rather than newer ones?
Really pleased you got in MrGreenman. Sorry for the rough entry :)
Email accounts@projectzomboid.com if you have issues mate :)
Try this, it's a mirror download for the latest test version. We're expecting Desura to be updated in the near future with the stable build - memory issues had to be fixed so it'd run on everyone's machines.
Download test build 007 from here, and use your Desura key to run it: Indiedb.com
008 is out soon, today most likely, and it's hoped that'll be the Desura auto-update
Some download links for Mac/Linux over on this page: Theindiestone.com
PC version of build 7 is hosted here: https://www.indiedb.com/games/project-zomboid/downloads/project-zomboid-297-latest-build-pc
Grab it from here for now: Indiedb.com
You can download a Public Test Build (2.5) of the next version from the Purchased Downlaods on your PZ page. So to the right of this message. :)
It's got a few bugs and issues, 0.1.5 is a more stable experience, which is why it doesn't update. The next build (RC3) should auto-update though, and it's in testing at the moment.
Yeah - work will start on MP after RC3 and the NPC updates which'll come after it. It'll be a long process, we want to nail solo play first, but it's a key part of the roadmap :)
Check the Public Test Build of RC2.5 that's in your Purchased Downloads on your Desura PZ page. Once RC3 is out and has major bugs removed it'll auto-update on Desura :)
Go to this page when you're logged into Desura: Secure.desura.com
Should find it there :)
Have you got DAY Z and WAR Z confused Dave? (I know that's half the problem)
There's the RC2.5 test build in your Project Zomboid Purchased Downloads if you want to take it for a spin.
DM me and I'll try to get you up and running, alternatively - Support FAQ lives here: Theindiestone.com
Check out the Public Test Version that's in your Project Zomboid downloads to the right of this message on the Desura site. That has new features - the next update will be an auto-update.
Hey Hulk - the newer version can be found in your PZ Purchased Downloads - so on the right of the PZ page on the Desura site. The next update that we're talking about in the Monday blogs will be an auto-update, and yeah - everyone who buys the game will get a Steam code.
Check your Project Zomboid purchased downloads - there'll be a Public Test Version there that you can download. The upcoming build, RC3, will be an auto-update.
Are you just entering your Desura key? Don't bother with the user/pass as they're for people who bought the game when there was a different payment system. PM me if you're still having problems :)
It's always been WIP, but the longer the game's been around the more people know it as PZ! I guess it might be given a subtitle of sorts - maybe? I think it's one of those things that we'll find out later down the line :)
It'll update - it's just that the latest test build RC3 is super delayed, so people are naturally concerned. Check out the latest blog for the run down on it: Indiedb.com
Try it on the Desura website rather than in the client. That can cause problems for some reason.
There's another test build you can play if you'd like - it's in your PZ purchased downloads (so to the right of this if you're on the Desura site) and it has a save function :)
It's also in your PZ Purchased Downloads on Desura - so to the right of this if you're reading on the Desura site :)
You'll find as Public Test Build of RC2.5 in your Project Zomboid Purchased Downloads - over to the right of this message if you're on the Desura site. RC3 will be an auto-update when the time comes :)
We'll be releasing mod/map tools, essentially the stuff we use to make the game ourselves, at some point after RC3 - although they need some work from our end to make 'em user-friendly to people who are coming to them fresh. As such development of the main update (and beyond) is currently the focus. Modding is vital to the future of the game though, and we're building the game with it in mind :)
D/L on the website rather than in the client. Seems to be a problem for some people.
