This month VonZippenstein has been working to implement basic features into the game so we have a good platform to build off of as work continues. So far he as implemented a basic car select screen, working HUD and mini map, and basic AI for rival cars and police units.
On the art side of things, I've gone about adding some life to the Forest Track with the addition of some scenery models such as fences, rocks, and a water tower. I also increased the amount of trees from around 500, to 2300; giving the area a much more "foresty" feel as opposed to a field with some trees in it. I also designed the HUD, as evident by the images below.
There is still much to do, but every little mile stone counts.

i played alot of racinggames since the n64 era
besides f-zero i barely play them anymore so i love how this is working out
