Turbo Run is an arcade style racing game taking strong influence from classic arcade games from the 80s and 90s.

This is a pre-alpha build of Turbo Run. It is still very much an unfinished prototype and does not feature a full set of game play mechanics or features. AI is still very primitive and the car select screen hasn't been fully implemented yet, so only one car is playable for bot the human and AI.
This build is two months old at time of release.
Controls:
Accelerate: W or Up Arrow Key
Brake: S or Down Arrow Key
Steer left and right: A and D or Left and Right arrow key
Hand Brake: Space (helps turn but slows you down)
Decided to release the latest stable build of Turbo Run since the next builds probably pretty far off and its been too long without anything playable to show. Dont expect much please, its just a prototype. The controls need tweaking and take a little to get used to. Threes sort of a technique to driving in it; you have to kind of treat it like a real car, coast into corners and accelerate out, while braking if you pick up too much speed. Please try to get the hang of it before you give up from crashing too much.

PLEASE READ:
After having tried it I can say the aesthetic animations and such are perfect. With that said, I'll give you the game's two biggest issues if you aren't aware (but you probably are.). Firstly, the acceleration is sudden and has zero sense of being gradual. The speed seems to suddenly change as the car shifts gears rather than momentarily stopping accelerating then gaining speed before shifting again. Then there's the second criticism, made even worse by the first. The handling is stiff as all hell and needs to be fixed. I think it could be if the first problem were fixed which would make the handling something to get used to rather than completely ruining the game.
pls update
Retro style. So great! I love it. It is done well. I'm really excited about this project.
