[stranded] (Mac OS X)
Oct 24, 2011 Full Version 0 commentsFull release of [stranded]! Thanks to all for trying out the beta! Feedback was mostly positive and so we are happy to release v1.00 which is more complete...
[stranded] puts you in the work-boots of Theodore O'Hare, Cargo Officer of a military transport vessel. Stuck on an unknown planet after your ship is attacked without warning, you must activate the rescue beacons that were jettisoned into the wilderness around you, whilst fending off aliens, rogue inhabitants, and more. Be careful with your ammunition, make every shot count - you're stranded here in uncharted territory, and you'll need more than just fire-power to survive the nights....

Hey everyone! Firstly, a big thanks to everyone who has been providing feedback and playing our game since it's release last week! We've been really excited to see people enjoying our hard work, and it's great to know it's paid off!

Another big thanks to Destructoid and PC Gamer, for their articles featuring our game! You can check out Destructoids here, and PC Gamers here. We're especially excited about PC Gamers mentioning [stranded] as one of the best free PC games of the week.
And lastly, here's a re-done version of our trailer, that we will be using at our upcoming pitch at Queenslands 'The Edge - Digital Culture Centre'.

what is this coded in? and you should really get a torrent of ths game up, download time was horrendous.
Sorry about the download speed - we will take a look at torrenting the game if we can get a connection that would make it worthwhile...
As for your question, [stranded] is made with C++ using OpenGL and OpenAL (and a handful of other libraries which are C or C++), and also DirectX XInput for Xbox 360 controller support on Windows.
great looking !
Yeah mine's not working either
For some reason it just says that I've enountered a bug and it just closes itself, can somebody help me out?
Sorry to hear you are having issues launching the game.
Is it possible to have a look at the console window (appears behind the main window on launch) when this happens to see if there is any output there?
I assume when it crashes there should be a window alerting you to the fact that closes the game when you respond - if this is the case, while that is up, check the console before getting it to close and let us know what it says (if anything) so we can help.
Hmm you should be more than fine for the system requirements (and that setup is very similar to my testing setup). Would you mind sending a small screenshot showing the issue clearly to my email so I can see the issue? (yotryu[at]gmail.com)
An email has been sent:)
Drivers are fully updated mate. Still not working :(
Same character model not showing issue here, Windows 7 x64 with Radeon 4800 series. Hmmm...
We are playing around with possible fixes for this, but only 1 of our test PCs exhibit this behaviour so testing the attempted fixes will take longer than I would like (I personally don't have access to it). We will be sure to let everyone know if and when a fix is sorted.
