[stranded] puts you in the work-boots of Theodore O'Hare, Cargo Officer of a military transport vessel. Stuck on an unknown planet after your ship is attacked without warning, you must activate the rescue beacons that were jettisoned into the wilderness around you, whilst fending off aliens, rogue inhabitants, and more. Be careful with your ammunition, make every shot count - you're stranded here in uncharted territory, and you'll need more than just fire-power to survive the nights....
Full release of [stranded]! Thanks to all for trying out the beta! Feedback was mostly positive and so we are happy to release v1.00 which is more complete, has many bugfixes, is better balanced and overall more polished. Spread the word, let us know what you think about it, and most of all, we hope enjoy the game!
The game itself is great, but the grafics needs a little more "awesome" put into it and could you add a third person view to make it less annoying to kill enemies.
We used our own in-house engine for the game, and decided to sacrifice a few things like detailed shadows etc for improved performance and more polished gameplay.
Desura?
Awaiting publishing on Desura as we speak.
WATTTTTT,BUT U STILL GONNA MAKE IT MOAR AWESOME RIGHTTTTTTT?
Haha we do have some plans for some extra gameplay (various multiplayer ideas we are deciding on) and we are keen to enhance the graphics for people with the hardware to handle it. Keep an eye for updates as we get things happening!
I was going to ask if better graphics (such as the aforementioned detailed shadows) could be added in post-release, but this reply answers my questions! In the meantime, I look forward to playing this game with 2x2 supersampling (or 4x4 supersampling if the game engine is DirectX-based) - a rare treat with modern games!
