On April 4, 2011, Shattered Origins: Guardians of Unity was released. Since then, we had almost 50,000 visitors on IndieDB / Desura, and many players decided to buy the game. We have received tons of feedback on the game, which was a great help when we created the two major updates for Shattered Origins. Both updates fixed bugs based on the feedback, and also introduced additional content into the game.
The campaign of Shattered Origins (a 18-20 hour ride) kept most players busy, some of them are still playing on harder difficulties to get all of those achievements.
All in all, it was a very intense year for us here at Elder_Games, and we'd like to celebrate the end of it by making Shattered Origins available with a 25% discount, both here on Desura.com and on Gamersgate.com
Be sure to check this out, as the 25% discount ends in 2012 January!

Can anyone tell me how open-ended this game is or isn't? Are we talking tightly-scripted campaign or complete open-ended, or what? Thanks in advance!
The game is not open-ended at all, the story is going to happen almost the same way each time. There are, however, a few choices, and a secret which can alter the story a little bit.
At times, there is also a pause in the main story to let you take optional missions at your own pace. I recommend trying the demo version, which is available from this site, that way you can see how the game is played.
OK great, thanks very much for answering. :)
The game is pretty good. Here are a couple of things which could be improved:
- Objective indicator could be more precise. When turning towards the arrow it disappears.
- Objects should at least float and drift in space instead of freezing when not in use.
I've just started the game and impressed. Just my .2 cents
Thanks for the feedback. We're on it.
Great work, the graphics and the music are really cool, you have my vote :)
That means a lot to us! Thanks!
We've received lots of mails about the XP indicator issue, so I just want to let you all know that we are working on the problem, and it will be fixed in the next patch.
The patch is now online, it will be downloaded the next time you start Shattered Origins.
