Check it out. Our AdLiberum engine just got stripped right back, to allow us to refocus on its core; being the text! ~ #gamedev

The main reason we've decided to revamp it from the ground up because it was based off old code so has become bloated as a result, it was becoming too interface / function driven rather than focusing on the core; it's content and to because it'll super power the new version of the engine!

The aim:

(1) to make the new engine both widgetable and totally customisable at both the player or the creators' discretion. With baseline being standard text adventure. Things like health gauges, huds, combat and more should always be down to the player / creator. Not what we define it. Freedom of choice. Freedom to create. Freedom to play.

(2) To make multiplayer a mod, rather than intertwined into the core of the engine; Caused a lot of headaches trying to create a single player mode.

(3) To reduce bloat in the code, dejunkify it and make the engine run 100x faster.

Hope you like the nostalgic look and feel. We love it. complete with authentic blinking cursor ;)
