So yes I will continue the swarm but on the original CryEngine it will still be an amazing game I just felt if I'm doing small demos on the original so why not put the entire game on the original.

Good luck on the project, this sounds like it can be pretty cool and I haven't heard of anything quite like it! It made me think of something like an open world Half-Life merged with some mechanics from games like Deus Ex or Fallout, which is to say it sounds awesome. Gonna track this, see where it goes.

At first this game was going to be Half Life mod. Well it really was at the begging just Half but with Area 51 but now it has definitely expanded.

Here's some things I need to point out to you at the moment:

1. Source engine has royalties, so making a commercial title can cost several thousand, if not hundred thousands for licensing (It's a valve engine, as you know).

2. The skills you request people to have don't come from random people you can just pick up off of the ground; they're gonna want money. if you want HD models of soldiers, scientists, weapons, and aliens from the modeling people, they're gonna want top dollar for their hyper realistic rendering of an alien's butt. The source engine people are going to want lots of money if you want them to code a great AI for all of the characters, weapons, and environmental things.

Now then, I'm going to suppose that you, like most of the aspiring indie developers(Including me), don't have the huge budget a top quality Area 51 video game is gonna need, so here's some suggestions on how to get this thing goin' on.

1. Use a different engine. Source's licensing fees, not to mention the skill and training required to get the game running properly, will take too much off of the budget. I suggest Unity 4 or 5 to get this game running with great graphics, and cheaper developer costs. If you don't want to hunt down a guy or gal to do some coding I advise taking a look yourself.

2. Aim for cheaper modelers or royalty free models. This also reduces production prices down SIGNIFICANTLY. There are a great amount of free assets available to almost any old Joe. If you don't want to have to track down some models or people who can model great, I suggest learning to do so yourself. There are lots of tutorials for blender, 3DS Max, and other modeling programs.

There you go, my friend. This is pretty much what I can suggest to you. This game looks promising, and it might even become a best seller, but you need to aim for smaller goals first. Source is an engine for AAA developers who have gigantic budgets (We're talking mllions) to spend on top notch game quality. There's lots of ways to get this game going, and I hope you find the best solution.
