We have a long way to go before we have an alpha demo for people to play, but I did want to try and peak some peoples interest with our project. The game is being developed by both Andrew Harris and Hollis Brownell. We have not decided on a name yet for the complete project, thus "Project Genesys".

We want players to be able to open up the game, load a galaxy, and start exploring.
Here are some of the features that we are hoping to integrate into the final project.

- A precise building system
- An intuitive crafting system
- Procedurally generated planets/AI
- AI evolution system
- Hundreds of items to find/use
- Mining for materials
- First person AND Third person gameplay
- Tons of different species  for AI
- Upgradable  ships
- ...and a plethora of worlds to explore

I have been working on some of the soundscapes for being in a cave... I cab assure you that this MP3 will not be the final version, it is subject to change at any time. Please let me know if you think this is fitting for what we are trying to achieve. Remember we want this to be a game well worth playing, and the atmosphere of the game is just as important as anything else. Here's what i've come up with so far!

Looks an awful lot like the idea behind Infinity: The Quest For Earth. Although, Infinity doesn't intend to let you leave your ship. This appears to be worth my attention. How much of a focus will ships get in this game though? Will they be Blockade Runner/Shores of Hazeron style where you can walk around inside them, or more traditional where you can only see from third person view, with maybe cockpit view also available?

Mostly I'm just curious as to whether the game will focus mostly on exploring planet terrain on foot, or mostly on starship mechanics. Having to worry about shields, weapons, power output, etc. on a ship would be awesome. :P

We are going as in depth as the players want us to go. We are avid video game players ourselves, so we know what it's like to want MORE from a game. We are open to ideas just as long as it's relevant to the game that we are trying to make. Exploring/Customizing/Stats/Building - Those will be the main focus' of the game. I'm mainly basing the foundation of the game with elements of games that i'd like to see all in one game. So, in short, I really hope everyone sticks with us long enough to enjoy a great game, made by gamers, for gamers.

Thanks for the support! We are still working on core elements of the alpha build right now. As soon as we get the building and maybe some items/AI we will release it! Keep checking back!
