Outskirts is a 2D top-down multiplayer shooter by independent developer team Fourbytes. This game is trying to introduce an interesting game mechanic to play with to have a fun customized combat in a 2D environment. The players can join a server, create or join a military group and fight each other. Outskirts focuses on strategic gameplay in the semi-realistic 2D world. Players can compete in a huge open world in multiple fictional countries. It's entirely possible to play alone but the faction-based gameplay encourages teamwork for ammunition and resources. You can choose faction clothes, flags, colors and customize your vehicles. Limited resources are occasionally transported with governmental vehicles, which can be seized with hard fights. Players can enter a vehicle and drive around in the 2D world as long as they can before they get shot by opposing militias. Outskirts is in pre-alpha stage and is continuing to be developed until preorders are possible.
