Oil Rush is a real-time naval strategy game based on group control. It combines the strategic challenge of a classical RTS with the sheer fun of Tower Defence. Oil Rush naval strategy game by UNIGINE Corp. is released. Global war for oil is started!
Currently the release version is available in UNIGINE Online Store (if you buy there, you can later activate your key in Steam or Desura as well) for $19.95.
Steam, Desura, Ubuntu Software Center and several other digital channels will launch Oil Rush sales within 1-2 days. Retail release will be handled by Iceberg Interactive in Europe a bit later.
This naval strategy game features single player campaign, quick game and multiplayer over Internet, LAN and Steam. The game is available in English and Russian now. German and French versions are to come within a month.

Update 1.10 is now live:
Enabled German localization for digital versions.
Added dedicated matchmaking server for non-Steam version, "Multiplayer -> Internet" (available for players from all platforms).
Added in-game support of IRC-channel #oilrush.
Improved usability for in-game chat.
Decreased build sizes.
Fixed minor UI layout bugs.
Changed profile directory for Mac OS X to ~./Library/Application Support/OilRush.
Optimized game perfomance and game logics.
Reworked GUI for multiplayer.
Added pre-lobby for Steam version.
Fixed targeting bug (sometimes towers stop shooting).
Fixed positioning of cursor for 3D mode.
Fixed minor bugs.

Hi everybody! I've recently bought Oil Rush on Desura. Very nice graphics for a cross-platform game. Is there any way to get it on Steam too?

It would be helpfull to read the error-messages. You get it by executing:
<your Desura Path>/common/oil-rush/desura_launch_Play\ Game.sh
i. E. ~/desura/common/oil-rush/desura_launch_Play\ Game.sh
By a Termin of your choice.
I've installed Desura with 11.10 (64bit) and it still runs (I upgraded to 12.04 at the time, 12.04-Beta2 was released.)
deleted all oil-rush folders and reinstalled... now its running again!
all permissions are correct, I checked the shell-scripts too, they seem legit.
I also deleted oil-rush s .settings subfolder to force a reinstall of the missing libraries, then I verified everything and it still doesn t run...
the launcher is in /oil rush/bin as is the executable, the launcher works but when i click play it just doesn t start... (I already completed the game on ubuntu 11.10 before upgrading, but Id like to see it working on 12.04 too!)
