Gagalaxies is a single-player sci-fi turn based strategy game which focuses on decision making rather than empire building. The game revolves around differents strategies that the player can select at the beginning of each turn and which determine his order of play. In Gagalaxies playing first is important to move first and block enemy units as well as to be able pick an another very demanded strategy. As the artificial intelligence is programmed to prevent any other players from getting too powerful, as much as possible, war is not always the best option. - Strategy based gameplay: 7 strategies that can change the course of a game. - 12 Races with differents units: Balanced races, asymmetric races, crazy races. - Conquer planets to gain economic and industrial advantage. - 5 types of assets to capture: Mineral field, Pirate factory, Combat enhancing satellite, supply and repair station. - Random events make the world evolve as the game goes on. - 12 different map settings.

So I just posted a new download (should be available soon). I just added one thing : Possibily to see what happened during the battles (click on the new "battle" button in the strategy panel). I will probably change the diplomacy strategy next update.

I didn't want to put a fog of war because then I would have had to make a better AI that doesn't cheat.
But the rest of your proposals are receivable :)

Interresting game.
But it took me a while to understand how the sabotage option worked (the explanation did'nt seem very clear to me). And even with the explanations, I can't really understand how fights work : I have never managed to accurately forecast the result. Some more feedback could usefull... (for example in which sequence ships have hit each other. Also, sometimes debris don't show what killed them. We don't know either who damaged a ship if it is still alive).
Being allowed to browse the map (and check the fights result) would also be very usefull in the strategy decision round.
Yes the sabotage strategy isn't really straightforward. Initialy the plan was to allow the player to actually select the target of the sabotage but it is done automatically and there are two possible effects if I remember correctly.
As for battles, sometimes your allies or the enemies of your enemies may help you, and sometime one of the enemy player dont fight because he has the diplomacy strategy. Outcome of battle can be pretty random because your ships targets other ships randomly, so if you are lucky your ship will focus fire and take down other ships faster. If debris don't show what killed them it means maybe that they were destroyed by an event and not during a battle. I know that the combat system is quite opaque right now...
Thank you for the reply. Indeed some clearer feedback in fight might help (though the info being given by debris is a clever trick). Having the succession of events might help.
I noticed than some ships (such as missile) die every time they fight (or at least it looks like they do). Maybe should we have that information somewhere in the ship description.
Another point : it would be really helpuff if we could move more than one ship at a time.
To move more than one ship at a time you have to use the selection box (then it will select all the ships that are stacked under the same icon). So you hold the mouse button (like in rts) and it draws a selection square.
Cool game. Keep us posted on updates.
