The game has been in production for the past few months and we now have a prototype we are confortable with and we are proud to start talking about Fray. The team on the game is comprised of David - game designer extraordinaire, Jean-Jacques - head of the studio, Alex - Smart ass project manager, Max aka Mr Fantastic - 3D character artist, Bob - fake progammer, Bertrand - 3D environment artist and Vincent - our beloved concept artist from Quebec
Wish it was as simple as that, but we are also working with the 3 DJs behind Washing Majazzz, a french group who is custom designing tracks for Fray. We are also working with The Designer's Republic (known for their work on the Wipeout series), who are creating 2D assets (logos, fonts and some UI design) for the game. We are also working with a talented 2D artist called Olivier Blanc.

Very cool! I like the concept artwork and am looking forward to hearing the music. Any idea of when a video showing off the sound design/gameplay might be posted?

Also, with whole hearted honesty, we didn't use any inspiration from MGS. The single eye comes from me and my obsessive love of the Geth in Mass Effect.

This is certainly the best gaming-related news I've seen today, it's always good to see new, talented people trying out their abilities in the gaming industry. You guys caught my interest, let's see how it turns out! :)

Looks amazing, sounds cool! Some questions though.
As you say each player controls a squad of four characters, is it played more like an RTS, or is it an FPS/TPS?
And.... What is a fake programmer?
Ha, I called Bob a fake programmer, because of his blog posts, where he says that he just pretends to code and we are gullible enough to actually think he is working. You should read these blog entries for more info :)

The game is a Simultaneous Turn-based Strategy game, but we don't really want to get into gameplay details until we are sure on what will be implemented and have images to go with the explanations :)
