FRAY: Reloaded Edition is a unique and fast paced multiplayer turn-based strategy game for PC developed by French independent developer Brain Candy. Plan your orders swiftly and watch the action unfold as all the players' squads execute their turns simultaneously.
Huge update for FRAY, released in June 2012, FRAY: Reloaded Edition adds numerous functionalities and improvements to the game in response to community feedback: fully redesigned User Interface, new class and weapon balance, visual improvements such as new weapon and particle effects, solo maps, new server and much more.
FRAY: Reloaded Edition builds upon the foundations of FRAY and improves them in all directions, all the while keeping the original fast paced strategy dynamic that was acclaimed.
You can also find the game soundtrack composed by Sound Washed at the root of the game install folder.
The update can be downloaded for FRAY users, and a Demo version is available on Steam: Store.steampowered.com

Great game, even though it is in alpha state for now.
Excellent graphics and solid gameplay, fast enough to keep you for hours.
Extremely promising.

@RTSGuruDotCom Thanks for the article gys :). FYI, the vanishing UI isn't a bug, F12 is used to hide the UI, and to take screens in Steam.

This game is ranked at 666 of 9,901... okay? So has anyone played this game and tell me, is it good?
Are the devs still working on this game? Found out about it when it was on sale for 50% off on Steam, but the discussions in the forums had pretty negative feedback that really deterred me from buying, but if the devs are still working I might be willing to take a shot.

Make up your mind... Is it turn-based, or fast paced? You can not have both.
That's like saying, is it an fps or an rpg? You can not have both.

Actually, you can get as close as you can! The whole idea behind Fray was to find a way to speed up TBS games and make them much more dynamic, hence the simultaneous system :)
I like how the game looks but how is this game unique? How is the concept different from Frozen Synapse for example?
How likely is it that this game will get a single player/training mode? Or even a local co-op on the same machine? ... Or mod support?
Hi Maceman,
We are currently working on a Single Player Training map, against both Static targets and AI Turrets. We are also working on AI bots for single player skirmishes.

We are preparing a big update for the game come september and will do a big post with videos to present the changes :)
