A freeform space-based realtime strategy game where the player controls groups of starships and fighters. The game is built around a starmap which the player must rid of all enemy ships, while completing storyline and side missions. During this quest, stations around the map can be used to purchase ships, weapons and modules. The enemy will be trying to seize control of your stations, and take the sector for themselves. Through a variety of missions, you must capture stations and push forward until the Dust Zone is safe once again.

I approve of your choice of soundtrack greatly.
But I do have to ask, do ships leave behind any husks? At this point, it just looks like they fall apart and disappear.
Also, what are the odds having to board an enemy station, rather than just plain slugging it out of service?

I intend to add in wreckage, definitely. It looks weird when the ships just vanish. Gameplay-wise, you'll actually be trying to defend stations rather than blow them up. In some cases you'll have to liberate them, which will pretty much require a boarding mechanic. I'd like players to be able to capture ships that way as well.

Shiiineh!
Well, as long as the defensive missions don't end touched by escort mission syndrome.

Don't worry - I've been through enough of those to know that no one likes them EVER.

If they're done really, REALLY right, they can be interesting, but at that point, they're probably less "Escort those folks there," and more, "Go there while your allies make sure all obstacles conveniently die."

Gothic 1 comes to mind, though in those parts, it actually is you that is being escorted in the first place.

Really lovely trailer fantastic work. There was possibly only 1 minor thing that bothered me comparing it with other modern space games of the genre. A lack of light effects.. Let the space illuminate more when the space rockets and projectiles fly through the vacuum.

It felt a little monotone in that regard though in one part you saw that explosions did illuminate parts of the ships.. That's good. :) Perhaps also add some minor or larger light sources on the ships itself. I will definitely check this one out when a demo gets released.

The description does sound appealing and it sounds like a mix between Homeworld & Nexus - The Jupiter incident. Also I hope we will get a proper single player campaign for this?

This is great feedback. I'm pleased to say that literally everything in this video has been revisited and improved since it was made, although I do think more work on the lighting is needed. The space backgrounds have mostly been replaced with much brighter ones, although I still have to make quite a few more of them.

Regarding single player campaign - it's not planned, but it is something I'd like to do. At the very least, some key story missions that trigger based on your progress. It's unlikely these will be in the initial release of the game, but I am hoping to keep the game fresh post-release with regular updates. No promises - I might need a bit of a break once this is done!
