You should probably add that the cooperative campaign is going to be networked rather than from one pc

Sorry about that I clicked negative by accident, I was trying to click positive but I clicked the wrong one. I had my friend give you +1 to fix it though. I always give positive karma to people who comment. Again, my apologies.

Excuse the second comment, but I felt like maybe I should also suggest some ideas, which might result in a more .. unique gameplay experience?

Regular top-down zombie shooters are a dime-a-dozen game type: You have weapons and you survive for as long as you can. This is usually 'spiced up' by a large variation of weapons which can sometimes be bought from a store of some sort, with money you earn from killing zombies.

I suggest going a different direction with this. Learn from games like Minecraft and Left 4 Dead! Instead of always-coming zombies until you die, make something trigger it (day/night cycle you mentioned, for example?) and give the player the chance to prepare for the coming apocalypse, by placing such things as a temporary 'fortress' of walls, mines, spikes etc.

Resources would be scarce and only collectible through randomly generated military bases or small (deserted/populated?) villages.

Give the game this planning aspect, with the desperation coming from the limited time, to give this game a unique aspect.

Anyways, just my suggestions.

Hi Darthlex!
I like your avatar! Im a big Calvin and Hobbes fan. =) Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate the feedback. Im sorry that our description is very limited, this page has only been up for about 6 hours.

Our game will NOT be just a pure zombie survival with guns. We may have an arcade mode like that though. The features we have in mind are;

There will be a Singleplayer/Co-op campaign with;

-A complete day/night system, where the zombies will become more plentiful and aggressive while during the day they are more reclusive allowing the survivors to scavenge for supplies.

-There will be a selection of buildings including barricades, automated turrets, lights for nightime, mines and more.

-There will be a large, seamless, semi random map with a variety of locations including cities, snowy areas, grassland, beaches and more.

-There will be a range of zombies including the standard zombie, running zombies, dog zombies, tank zombies, fat zombies and maybe a few more.

-Buildings will have complete interiors and floors that the player can visit. They will also contain supplies and be a great vantage point for sniper rifles.

We are trying to create a fun arcade action RPG type game with a few cool features and lots to do for the players. If you have any further feedback that would be great and of course I would love to hear if you have any specific features or guns you want in the game. Thanks! =)
