Deep Space Settlement is a 4X real-time strategy game focused on empire building and grand-scale space battle.
To most a hospital is probably a less exciting asset, but there's interesting things we could do with it. For now it increases the health of your population, this is to counter the effects of the ResidenceB for instance, which while providing a lot of living space, is very crammed and rather low quality, so lowers the health of your population.
I can also think of weapon systems that incluence the health of an enemy without actually damaging his colony station for example. Let's call it Radition Projector

Yes, thanks. The non-combat stuff is a huge part of DSS. Shooting things is always fun, but for me has to be in the right context. The real fun is building and exploring things, and then either having to defend yourself, or attacking others because they are in the way of my exploring :)
Since ships have crew, will there be an equivalent to the hospital for ships? A hospital ship that takes the wounded crewmembers from nearby vessels and heals them?
Oooh! Maybe veterancy can be tied to the crew and not to the ship? So if we win a battle, we can transfer the veteran crew on the extremely damaged battleship to the one that's just came out the shipyards.
I'm hoping for all of this!
Pretty snazzy hospital there. Don't think I'll be mistaking it for a different module any time soon.
