Yeah, this is my profile. Boring huh. Well, I do have a banner now I guess. How do you like it? ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "With hovering tanks come hovering mines, for extra lulz." -sudazima ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "There is nothing more interesting than that which stirs one's imagination" -me
We're sorry, but no blog posts were found here. Boring yes, but as confucius always said - if you have nothing good to say, why say anything at all? Check back later, perhaps something exciting will pop-up and be worth blogging about, like season 3 of the teletubbies.
Speak your mind, rant about games, mods and the development scene, it's simple and who knows maybe someone will read it and agree. It will feel right!

Despite your bitching, if you give me your resolution I'll make you a Pillar of Autumn wallpaper. I don't want my Halo buddies feeling left out because they have small monitors.
Nah, I can crop whatever you make. It was rather silly of me to forget about TV's being used as monitors anyway.
While some of the 'spiky' ships early on in the thread seemed to have some purpose and balance to their spikyness, I have to confess that I also feel some of the designs in here look sloppy, and all of these are never textured.
Something I feel I should add is that some of these ships need a sense of balance. While Taiidan ships have fins, they never go overboard with them. Nor do any of the Homeworld ships go overboard in turrets. While it might look good to you, to others (like me) it might seem like you're 'hot rodding' your spaceship by cramming as many turrets on it to somehow make up for the uninteresting shape underneath it (unless you want the underlying shape to look mundane...). The same goes with spikes and fins.
Some of the best ships in science fiction are ones without super hull detailing or outrageous fins. Consider the Imperial Star Destroyer, which is simply a wegde with a superstructure and domed 'ears'. The Enterprise-A, best of the Trek lineup, is very clean without greebling. Even the Earth Alliance Destroyers of Babylon 5 don't go overboard with spikes or fiddly bits- the largest visual cues are the huge blocky shapes.
That's my two cents from an artist, take it or leave it.
