Story:

Set roughly 300 years in the past in a distant universe is another human race that evolved quite differently from ours. Unlike our race that fights each other, is racist, individualist, money orientated, etc. Their race almost instinctively came together and worked to improve their race. Very early on in their evolution they created a democratic society. They never really have ever had different governments for different areas of their planet. They are government by a single body. However that doesn't mean they live in a peaceful world. Conflicts did take place about the direction of their society and that even lead to war but not on the scale that we know. In any case they always ended up as once again a united race. Until now...

Everything was fine until they developed space travel and colonised many worlds. That is when two different ideals came into being. The first one is the statuesque where they all work together under one government and every few decades have the option to elect a new government that may change the direction slightly. They are know as the Salatras. The second is a far darker ideal. One where some colonies who support the idea break away and their government is a dictatorship. The idea of having a dictatorship is one that has always been there from very early in their evolution but never really seemed to go anywhere. They are known as the Indigos. With the changes of space travel it has brought this to to the fore. They are amassing arms and recruiting any one they can to their cause. The drums of war are beating ever louder. On top of that their are other smaller break away factions now at large. Pirates gangs have now been formed as well. The race as a whole is beginning to break apart. Leading some to question whether space travelling was such a good idea.

You play as 28 year old Fiano Dementa know as Fi. She is a lieutenant serving as a fighter pilot and foot soldier on board a deep space station in the Salatras army. Tasked with maintaining order throughout the galaxy. Even forgetting about all of the break away factions theirs is a race that, like ours, disagrees. Sometimes violently. Unaware that the fate of her entire race will rest in her hands.

Features:

• Developed in Unity for the PC but possibility to develop for Android as well
• A mixture of FPS and Space Sim game play
• Combat pirate and renegade fighters
• Board enemy vessels
• Explore alien worlds and derelict ships
• Take out enemy capital ships, space stations and planet installations from both a space fighter and/or quickly land to take out the enemy on foot.
• Voice acting
• Dynamic weather on alien worlds. Day and night cycles, rain, snow & thunder
• Branching missions means losing doesn't mean the end but the beginning of a new direction of the story.
• At least 20 missions that the player will see through any one play through but many more depending on the choices you make
• Your home base may change as the game processes. Will you manage to protect it or will it be destroyed.
• At set points in the game you can if you wish switch allegiances
• Choose the wrong side and fail too many times and prepare for a bloody last stand
• Your actions and allegiances will determine if your kind is a peaceful democracy or a ruthless, bloody dictatorship. You decide.
• Talk to characters between missions to hear there thoughts and opinions on both the state of play and of you.
• Discover a hidden deadly threat that will scare the living hell out of you...

Development:

The game will take approximately 2 years to make. It should be released some time at either the end of 2015 or early 2016. The first year will focus on setting up the control system, weather system, AI, designing the missions, creating the textures, creating the models and creating the missions. The second year will be about finishing the remaining missions, textures, etc. Plus extensive testing.

The funding you provide is for the creation of the animations, textures, some models, voice acting and some game scripting.

If the development goes well I may add in Android support as well.

About Me:

I am an Indi developer with a passion for games that give the player as much control over the story as possible. Where losing is actually exciting :) My most favourite games of all time are the Wing Commander games for the sheer amount of paths through the game you can take. Along with conversational choices. To me that is what games should be like now. Instead few seem to grant that level of control and when they do it still isn't as far as I would like to see.

I also believe that it could be that one day it is Indi developers who are making new innovative and exciting games. With the big name developers of the day making the same old generic games. Look at Rise Of The Triad remake compared to the usual COD clones made by big developers.

I have a National Diploma In Software Development at Distinction grade along with a Foundation Degree in Games Design at B grade. Along with undertaking a variety of Open University courses.
