So this game will have similar combat to Mount & Blade? Rather than that of Chivalry?

What is the diamond UI for? Skills and Stances?

the swinging animations seem a little slow paced to me

The physics on the armour plates seems a bit too sensitive, they look a bit silly floating about like cloth. Looks good though, nice progress!

Looks a little bit clunky to me, and also I'm fairly sure Samurai never held their weapon in one hand whilst moving, it was mainly two handed and shuffling movements, but it could eventually work out to be amazing.

Description

A quick video showcasing the current combat prototype. Please note: the vast majority of our time over the last 9 months has been invested into the back-end systems, such as robust multiplayer, hit detection, etc...

As such we realise that, visually speaking, the game still looks a bit basic. As per our last blog post (https://www.indiedb.com/games/bushido-legend-of-the-samurai/news/devblog-14-a-long-overdue-update) we're now coming to the end of the pre-production process and will be investing more time over the coming months on improved animations, character models, environments, GUI, etc...
